Freemasons Task Force of Victoria is assisting Heartbeat, the Alfred Hospital and Baker Institute in a project named: Candles for Diana Australia's Living Memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales

Our commitment is to the sell candles in the weeks leading up to 30th August 1998, and we need over 500 Task Force members, to sell them in:

Lodges - Tennis Clubs - Shopping Centres - Church Groups - Local Community Groups - Apex - Rotary - Ethnic Groups - Scout Groups - Football Clubs - Bowls Clubs - Local Traders - School Parents' Committees..

Please consider this as a priority commitment

Contact either Steve Jacobs on 03 9563 7670 or Mervyn Cohen on the numbers shown above with:

1. The names and contact numbers of Freemasons - including Task Force Members who are prepared to actively assist in the sale of these candles.
2. A convenient point to which candle stocks can be delivered.

The donation for each candle (which is Tax Deductable) is $5.00, from which $1.00 will be donated to Masonic Charities, DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES MEMORIAL FUND, HEARTBEAT-THE ALFRED & BAKER BRANCH and other charitable groups involved in the project.

The operation Candles for Diana will culminate in a commemorative concert at the Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday 29th August 1998 and a memorial service and concert at St.Paul's Cathedral on Sunday 30th August 1998.

This event will be covered by the media and will lift the image of Freemasonry. It is anticipated that Candles for Diana will become an annual event worldwide.
